George was lucky to have the older sister of a good friend introduce him to Jazz at a young age. Clearly Monk, Miles & Mose were making an serious impression on him, but like for so many others, things changed forever in early 1964. The Beatles American debut made Rock & Roll "l'ordre du Jour" and George answered the call, playing throughout the late 60's and 70's with various bands. Music became a true passion for him.

Family, school & career put being a full time band member on hold, but he continued to sit in and play with various artists. Now, having had the good fortune to study under jazz guitar great Nat Janoff, George brings a "Bien Assaisonner" mix of Jazz, Blues & Rock to his playing. A perfect fit for the musical chemistry that is Thieves & Poets.
